Top 100 of 2012: 40 to 31

No for real, ask your grandpa, can I have his hand-me-downs?

040 Demi Lovato - Give Your Heart A Break

Demi has such a strong voice, and it's great to hear her song being played on the radio - I hope she continues to make more music that people like! Sure, this was probably played on radio since she was a judge on The X Factor, but it got her name out. It's a cute song, but maybe too cute for her image? I need more Skyscraper kind of hits, one that lets her voice shine. Hope the best for Lovato next year :"3

039 Deadmu5 ft Chris James - The Veldt

The rhythm is flawless, a little bit sleepy, but irresistible. It takes me to my happy place, where everything is wonderful and perfect... Who knew that it would be presented in a dance track. Heard this once in the club, and wasn't sure what to do: fist pump, or slow-motion. But hey, you can't escape the sweet sounds of the mau5. Only thing I don't get about it: the music video - like, what? o.O

038 Carly Rae Jepsen - Curiosity

She should have released this song as a single world-wide, it's wonderful! And the song is honest, sometimes what you do can cause serious heartbreak... So don't let her down, please? I think it would have been successful as a single - the music video is no Call Me Maybe, but it shows a different side of her (being the sole reason why it was shelved). This version is better, not a fan of the Kiss version.

037 Karmin - Brokenhearted

They are like the underdog success story - they deserve attention! It's amazing how one video can change their career paths in a snap... Sounds familiar, right? And if that wasn't enough, their original material is fresh! Ultra Pop sound with a winning rap verse that is quite the challenge; she can talk real fast. Quite original indeed, and I can't help but sing out loud whenever it comes on. Turn it up!

036 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft Wanz - Thrift Shop

Where did he come from, that is the question. Saw this on TV, and it was practically amazeballs. I mean, the video is so distracting that you just have to keep on watching... And you got to admit, some of the outfits, I want d": This right here is the motto. It's funny, original, and can't stop listening to it - it's all about the Goodwill and Value Village. If you can pull it off, you got something better than swag.

035 Psy - Gangnam Style

Alas, the song that took the world by one song... I can't believe that I first heard this on the radio o.O Whether it's the kooky song that's making fun of a province or his cheesy dance, it definitely made an impact this year. I wonder if he'll make something better now that he's under Bieber's company. And so many renditions made, but this parody and cover have to be my favourite - yohja.

034 Nicki Minaj - Pound The Alarm

This was a hard song to place, because I really enjoy it, but I heard it only once in the club... It's a pump up song! I love the instrumental breaks in here, and the alarm is frightening and exciting. Not a lot of rapping, but that part is hilarious: Skeeza, pleeza, I'm in Ibiza. It's all attitude, and the way she delivers it is always a joy - you don't know what's coming next. Make more club bangers like this Minaj!

033 Drake ft Rihanna - Take Care

These two just make a good team, and their music is always top quality. The beat is so simple, but the lyrics bring the song to life. Why put yourself in such a situation when there is someone here who cares and wants to protect you. It's a personal love song, and this person wants to show a real love that one deserves. Now these are the kind of songs that I enjoy most from Drake! More please!

032 Christina Aguilera - Your Body

Christina returns with this little hit, which is a more tamed version of her previous work... This time, she is looking good! Yes, the song is basically about loving one thing about a person, but I find myself singing this song like crazy loud. And the video is creative with looks of her past, and not to mention, creative 'death' scenes. When you're out on the job, you got to do what you got to do c";

031 Adele - Skyfall

Time to showcase Adele's talent (as if her previous successors haven't proved that yet). Singing the theme for 007, can't help that it daunts in your mind for some time. Her voice is perfect for a Bond theme, in the ranks of Dame Shirley Bassey for sure! Epic, and sampling the Bond theme was pure genius... Hooray for new talent with old vibes, may they come back more often ^^

This concludes this countdown, let me know what you think!
