Top 100 of 2015: 30 to 21

The Ladies

I'm 14 carat, doing it up like Midas, mhm...

030 Taylor Swift ft Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood

Call it basic, but there's no denying the impact that the song itself made this year. Being revamped with Kendrick Lamar, it adds a dynamic more intense than the original. Top it off with a star-studded female cast, and you've got the growth of 'squads.' Perhaps it's not so basic after all.

029 Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat Song

To the American Idol that can do no wrong. After experimenting through various sounds, there is nothing quite like Pop that suits Clarkson's voice. Although I'm not likely to kiss someone through a bench, it's the light-weight lovey-dovey track you need to keep up-up-up all night long.

028 Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do

If there was one song to pick from the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' soundtrack, this would be it. The beginning is a bit slow, but it builds up the intensity. Simple and clean, it parallels the theme of the movie. Hope to hear more ballads from Ellie Goulding, they're spectacular.

027 Janelle Monáe & Jidenna - Yoga

Why wouldn't there be a song dedicated to the fitness? It's sexy without all they typical choice of words. The under-produced track marks a significant difference from Janelle Monáe - maybe she found inner peace? Whatever it is, I'm digging the low vibes.

026 Tove Lo - Talking Body

When dirty songs sound irresistibly good. Ebba Nilsson takes the direct approach, with a whirlwind of instruments thrown at you, chorus time. I don't want to like it, but when music is good, how can you resist? All about lust at first site here.

025 Selena Gomez - Good For You

Here we have my wife. She's growing up, and her music is a clear representation of that. While I'm not a fan of the airy vocals, you have to admit that she's never looked more confident. This 'revival' of hers can only go up from here.

024 Alessia Cara - Here (Mickey Valen Remix)

What a surprise of a song. I didn't get into this when it was released - but the remix makes up for everything. Considering its anti-party vibe, the sociality from the instruments ties it up in the perfect format. Who knows, it Alessia Cara changes it up, I'd be interested.

023 Natalie La Rose ft Jeremih - Somebody

Familiar sounds with a fresh vibe. Out of nowhere, Natalie La Rose was conquering the radio stations with this track. I was reeled in when I heard memories of the Whitney Houston classic. With Jeremih singing the chorus, it's a three-minute track full of surprises.

022 Lights - Running With The Boys

Gone are the days of the high-pitched vocals of Valerie Poxleitner. We are now introduced to a new woman with a mature sound. It's like she took her old work and revision them in a new style. So good, you have to take a second listen once it's done.

021 Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea - Pretty Girls

Britney Spears plays it up with Amethyst Kelly in a work dedicated to fun. At first, I thought this song was stupid (which is not totally wrong). But after a few listens, you realize that you just go with it. After all, girls just want to have fun. And if you don't feel pretty, change the way you think!
