Top 100 of 2019: 80 to 71

I can feel you fade away...

Adding some soul to the countdown, thanks to Tori Kelly. The message has been delivered, and Kelly is going to show how good her husband will be to her. Parents may have a feeling about someone, but even they can be wrong. Raw and authentic, makes me wonder whether Kelly faced these issues upon her wedding... But nonetheless, an update on a message of tough love purveying through.

It's been a busy year for Ally Brooke, and it seems like she's not slowing down. While her singles haven't been performing well, I have soft spot for the former Fifth Harmony member. Do I think this is her best song? No, but it definitely grows on you. I do hope that her future singles do not go into this 'sex-driven' direction, I think she can do more with her music.

Late-comer with a striking impression. MAX took his music in another path, far from "Lights Down Low." I was introduced to this song from a friend, and instantly liked the track. There may be different ways the song is interpreted, but it's a very airy track filled with some vivid visuals (kiss every freckle, please). To be honest, there needs to be more artists like MAX that have this kind of aesthetic.

Not sure whether many can relate to this Neon Dreams song, but it was infectious when the chorus came rolling in. If anything, it's quite an uplifting song, reminding you to dream big and go for what matters to you. Maybe that's why this song kept coming in my head time after time. Good advice, but probably

That one song that never got the attention it deserved. Part video game, this song plays like a journey, like a quest with an undetermined destination. Fascinating with an array of vocals, this song had all the material to be a big hit. This was Lil Peep's last song, and it's a shame I haven't heard much from the artist. When you collaborate with the band of your dreams, it should sound something like this: a dream come true.

When your wife gives you all the satisfaction in one song. From the humming of the mmms to the subtle ringing in the background, Ms. Gomez can make any song into a hit (even if it's a sleeper of a hit). Teaming with some of the biggest acts in music, some influences have been brought up into her upcoming singles later in the year. A tune that showed a revival from the wifey.

If you are not familiar with this artist, her viral video may remind you of her talent. Believe it was a random thought in my head, and decided to see what happened to the artist known as Tiffany - and she's been busy lately. Releasing song after song, this one had some interesting vibes (think of Melanie Martinez). Creepy and mischievous, she doesn't want to be played no more. Will be keeping an ear out for Tiffany Day.

First song I downloaded in 2019, and it's asking for mercy. Both artists use their soft voices pleading for this heartbreak to hurt a little less. Even the background music has a lot of pity, it's an emotional train wreck that gets you relating to a bad break up. When all you want is someone to be gentle, give it to both Alec & Alessia to provide the soundtrack for the brutal times.

This is what I imagine the song to sound like when you're ready to retire - those were my exact thoughts when I heard this song! Catchy and simple, Bebe puts out a song for putting all your effort into your passions. With not a damn to give, there's that final chance to tell everyone that you're still standing, and giving your all. And not to worry, Bebe is not going anywhere - in fact, she's got a bunch of hits I need to catch up on!

Now this is more like classic Kylie! It's that dancefloor anthem dreaming about your favourite place. While I have never been to New York, I can only assume that it feels like this song. All kinds of magic, mixed in with some grit in between. I look forward to my first visit to New York, and play every possible song about the city - especially this one.
