Sander Van Doorn & Julian Jordan - Kangaroo

Take what's basically a father and son duo, make the same beats as competing EDM artists, and give the audience a stellar stage display... This is what it looks like. While Van Doorn is in the beginning of his 40s, Jordan is roughly in his 20s, which I find fascinating because it shows that people of all ages can have the same interests. And when you put your passions into one collaboration, a concoction like this creates a massive fan base; I mean look at all those people! Like damn, people do love their parties. Perhaps I should team up with my father and create music similar to this team, right?

Clean Bandit ft Love Ssega - Mozart's House

Before Clean Bandit became popular known for their 2014 hit "Rather Be," they made music that was, well, brutally honest. It pokes fun at House music and how repetitive it can be. Add in String Quartet No. 21, throw in some funky House tunes, and you've got yourself this. Dull as it may seem, there is odd glitch that makes it irresistible to escape, needing to find out how exactly the song will end. Although it may be true that music is not how it use to be, it definitely takes the best of a past era and creates a different meaning towards today's renaissance of music... That's quite some artistry.

Jack Beats ft Diplo & Example - War

Not exactly sure how I found this song, other than having Vevo automatically playing this after a video of my choice. What appealed to me was specifically the video, as it takes a style of another artist (wish I knew their name for reference!) After listening to this again, it's not quite how I remembered from the first time I heard it. With more drama and that eery drum beat, it might actually be more cynical than joyous... Strangely enough, it makes it that more fascinating. Crazy what suggestions the internet can display - some times, it leads you to the strange side of things.

Kylie Minogue - Get Outta My Way

It's been a long time since I have posted in this series, but I needed to find the perfect song to revive these posts - and just in the nick of time! Here we have Kylie Minogue from 2010, delivering what is one infectious beat (so infectious, it has been sampled recently by Alesso). What makes it so good is the fact that it's a little Disco swirled with a hint of EDM, something everyone else has been getting on these days. Whether it interpret the message one way or another, there is no denying that it's that 'moment' track when you just got to give in to the rhythm and dance your worries away. Certainly one fine piece of a song.
