San E - Story Of Someone I know(아는사람 얘기)

I think it was my friend who showed me this song, and I'm pretty sure it was because she thinks he's cute... I'll leave that for you to decide. Haven't heard of the artist, but he's got some promising talent. It's hard to differentiate when it's a mix between rap and singing, whether he is better at one skilled compared to the other. The song is pretty decent, I'm a fan of singles that have a rather upbeat rhythm to a rather sad story. I would describe the song as awkward, but then again, I think that's the approach of the song. You don't know what to make of it, kind of like the situation his 'friend' has put himself.

VIXX - G.R.8.U (대.다.나.다.너)

Seems like in Korea, the music industry is captivated by boy bands. I haven't heard about this band until I was on tumblr and saw gifs of them in this video. Since I'm a fan of checkered patterns, I had to see what's up with this act. The video is really eye-catching, and though every aspect of it has already been done, it's the song that grasps its silliness. To say the Korean music is innovative would be an understatement. Somehow, they're on another level that the Western side hasn't gotten up to just yet. Perhaps it's time to take a lesson in coordinating music and style together from the Asians.

Cho Jung Seok - I Love You So Much (완전 사랑해요)

If you have friends that are obsessed with Korean dramas, then you might be familiar with this song. It originated from a show back in 2013, but I never heard of it. I think my friend show me the piece, and it's rather a simple melody with delicate lyrics (none that I can understand either). There is something about Korean music that seems more lively than Western music, even if it has a soft sound like this one. The guitar could have been left out, but then it adds a touch that seems rather fitting for a drama. Perhaps it's songs like these that make me a hopeless romantic, and I'm absolutely loving it.

Parov Stelar - Catgroove

If I could only remember where I found this song, but I'm glad that I remembered it. Whoever thinks of these ideas, I swear, it's pure genius. I don't think they altered the original song (assuming that it's an older track, it sounds like one), other than crop out some parts, put it on repeat, and add a modern rhythm in the background. What makes it better is this style of dance I'm not familiar about. Shows you how to revive something that was just as fun back then and make it highly more entertaining. And for talent shows that airs wherever: please highlight more of this wonderful confection.
