O.A.R. - Shattered (Turn The Car Around)

It's funny how a song can never escape your head one minute, and the completely forget about it the next. Enter this little tune, back in 2008 when it never stopped playing on the radio. A bit upbeat for a song about confusion, but sometimes you need to find the humour in it. The sound is hopeful, wanting to know if there is a way to get back to where they started (see a pattern in the songs right now?) Otherwise, the piano bit could have been increased for dramatic purposes, but the weak introduction does not take away from its catchiness. Definitely an ear worm of a song.

Autumn Hill - Anything At All

Again, I heard this single from the Country radio station. Is it strange to say that it reminds me of that late 90s to early 2000s music? I feel like this is the era they were aiming for this single, because there are a lot of feelings going through this song about curiosity, wondering if things could go back to the way it was once before. It's quite catchy, almost a fuse of Country and Pop. It's that issue that people want so much that they can't let go, something that we all tackle at one point in time. There are a lot of things that happened, and we are all dying to know what happens next.

Lifehouse - From Where You Are

Can't remember how I found this song, but it's rather a beautiful one. The content can be adapted to any situation, and in this case, it's about safe driving. It's important to take care of the ones that matter, otherwise it might be too late to show how much you care. What catches my attention is the power of the song with the fewest amount of words that have to be sung. Shows how much an emotion can take out of a person, that it leaves you speechless. I am glad that they released this song, it is a strong single, and it best displays their style of music.

Concert Review: The Honeymoon Tour

It's been months ever since I heard that this next act was coming to town, and not even a final exam would stop me from coming to this concert. Words cannot state how satisfied I was to see the one and only, Ariana Grande. Without further adieu, let's get into it!

Heart could not contain the excitement!

One More Girl - Maybe

Some times, I get tired of listening to the same radio stations due to its repetitiveness. While in the car one time, I decided to give the Country station a try, and this little ditty came on the air. Sure, it's a typical song about how right it feels to be with this person even though it's wrong, but there are times when you got to take chance to know what it's all about. There is this twang that I don't hear on the stations I normally tune in, and it's nice to have a change that day. The Canadian duo have a number of songs released, but I never got into them quite like this one.

Concert Review: Game Of Tones

Haven't been to many school performances during my university life, but this one blew my expectations. It may only have been the second time that I attended such an event, and I wish that I have seen more... Let's review the UBC A Capella Concert.

Brace yourselves, catchy tunes are coming
