Top 100 of 2018: 90 to 81

But I’m feeling like you stole all those memories untold...

I was hanging out with my friends, and we went back to one of their places. Sitting down on the couch, this song comes up, playing from the original to the remixes, one after another. What I like about this song, aside from the vocal manipulation, would be the break. You don't hear much from Guetta, but it goes to show that he knows how to changes thing up a bit. And the Edson Faiolli Remix gives a more lounge sensation to the high-intense sounds.

Just at the end of the year, this song came out of the blue, and it's a good way to conclude 2018. Miley Cyrus has the Country twang that mixes well with the funk of Mark Ronson, creating a rather theatrical piece. I do believe though, that the piece could have more orchestra behind the violins, adding a new dimension to the track. But overall, a sweet surprise from two talented people. Let this hit rise in 2019.

Heard about this song from a friend of mine, who said that this was her favourite song at the time. Although this may not be a work-out song, it's definitely a song to cool down, especially with the sonic sounds preceding the chorus. Something about the vocals that make this track irresistible - perhaps the emotions are felt through the expressed tones. Either way, this was quite a gem to find. This Australian band just released their debut album, and if it sounds like this song, it'll be worth to check out the rest.

Mermaids and sexual innuendos... sounds like a Nicki Minaj concoction. Throw in Ariana Grande, and you got yourselves one chilled track. Some times, you need those songs that sets the mood, and this would be one of them. I mean, who doesn't want some moments reserved just for you? Allow the dynamic duo to get you all revved up for this intimate session. Another one from Nicki and Ariana, can't wait for the next hit to come out.

This was an interesting song to be played on the radio, and I'm glad that it got some air play. Not familiar with Langston Francis, but this artist displays a wide vocal range; not to mention, his voice has a sultry side that carries throughout the song. Hopefully Francis gains more popularity with his music, I am down to hear more slow jams on the radio like this one.

Another radio hit that was heavily played, but it was one that I could handle. One of the winners from "The Launch," Elijah Wood x Jamie Fine released the Camila Cabello penned track, which has some strange resemblance to Cabello's voice. The song has a Dancehall rhythm, and the horns add a nice emphasis on the hard-hitting emotions. Maybe it's just me, but I could see both acts performing a duet... One day, that must happen. But congratulations to Elijah x Jamie, they deserve the attention.

Upon first listen to the song, I had my thoughts about it - the song isn't about flowers, and that's as much as I can say. Weird concept that took me some time to get use to, but that's what I like about Troye Sivan: he's trying to get people engaged in a culture that many are not familiar. And there is nothing wrong about exploring yourself and figuring out what you like. So here's to the curious, may they always be open and accepting of concepts that are new to them.

Because one song about sexual innuendos is never enough. Meghan Trainor shows off a more mature side with this track, and I am liking the transformation she is going through at the moment. The song gets rid of the attitude and spunk that Trainor usually has, to present something that we have yet seen in her music. And you know what? She's definitely owning her new motive. While I do expect her typical sugary confections of music to come out, it's always good to see a new edition of the M-Train.

That one love that was difficult to get over: there are moments when you want them, but have to move on. This is the last-ditch effort where you spill out everything you wanted to say before it's over. Give it Post Malone for spilling out what he thinks, it's better to say something than to say nothing at all. Didn't think that I would have enjoyed a Post Malone track, but this one is cool, calm, and collected.

What would the year become if Michael Bublé didn't release new music? More of a beach vibe to the song, with a conflicting message that I don't quite understand - is he still in love, or not? I think that's the beauty of the song, because you still have them on your mind, but you don't have the feelings you once had. It's pretty clever, when you think about it, Bublé understands the consequences of having the best (or is it the worst?) However you interpret the song, it's another hit to his added repertoire.
