Top 100 of 2014: 80 to 71

Two become one, it could be lethal...

080 Tove Lo - Habits (Stay High)

Does anyone ever wonder how a song gets massive attention in an instant? Out of the blue, Tove Lo release her song, and now it be playing just about anywhere. The concept is uncomfortable, but her story is so toxic that you stay to see what happens as it progresses. Simply put, it's a hot mess in a the worst case scenario. This honesty is brutal, and hopefully no one goes through such a phase.

079 Jennifer Lopez - First Love

Always a pleasure to have new material from Jennifer Lopez, just never know what is expected from her. Showing her softer side, passion flows into this song, wanting her current lover to be the only one she's had. This person makes her feel like she is becoming a better one, and truly that is what everyone wants. The toils of love will eventually lead one in the right direction, no matter how long.

078 Tiƫsto ft Matthew Koma - Wasted

One of the most energetic songs I've heard this year, I actually heard this in the middle of the night, driving back from the club - but what made it better was being featured in 22 Jump Street. Pretty sure this song was inspired by university kids, having the time of their lives. But it's true and relevant: everything is better when there's a drink or few in your system d"; Just stay safe.

077 Deadmau5 ft Colleen D’Agostino - Seeya

The moment this dropped on the radio, I had to find out what it was... And now, they have played it to death x.x But from time to time, it's enjoyable (I even imagine a dance routine in my mind). Deadmau5 always creates such different vibes, and the Funk that's slightly added is truly the cherry on top of the sweet sound. May there be more to come (and hopefully, music videos as well?)

076 Arkells - Come To Light

Honestly, I don't remember how I found this song. But if I were to guess, it would be from seeing in on TV. It's not usually the genre I listen to, but it's a whirl of excitement, never wanting you to leave in its duration. What caught my attention must have been the keyboard hits, it's a pleasant surprise that turns up the notch on this song. Perhaps I should venture more into Alternative music, yes?

075 Janella Salvador - Mahal Kita Pero

If you are Filipino or know anything about the Philippines, you know that they love to sing, to act, and the show Be Careful With My Heart. Salvador, who plays Nikki on the show (Oh My G!), has released a song about a love that must be postponed until her studies are complete. It's sensible, adorable, and undeniably catchy. Knowing that someone will wait for you is the true act of love.

074 Neon Trees - Sleeping With A Friend

When I was in Las Vegas, this song would pop up everywhere. It's a nice new twist from Neon Trees, and this retro sound they've got has got me in the mood. Though I don't necessarily agree with its message, there is always that one person you'd be interested to pursue such actions (just saying...) Dangerous yet exciting, it's difficult to fight the feeling - especially with such addictive beats.

073 RAC ft Matthew Koma - Cheap Sunglasses

It's the underrated song of the summer. Always heard this at work, and it became an ear worm of a song. Matthew Koma is always brilliant in his songs, and being featured in RAC's single proves that he is transformable in any Genre. The metaphors are delightfully insulting, and gets the message out there. A fake is a fake, no matter what, and they will get their burn when least expected. Love it.

072 Ingrid Michaelson - Girls Chase Boys

Ingrid came back! And this little ditty about the consequences of love couldn't be put in a better way. She toys with the emotions that people dread after a relationship ends, and the result couldn't make me happier. Because in the end, it's all the same: everyone is looking for someone. Just don't get caught up in the game, and have fun with it. And best of all, she stays true to her sound.

071 Elise Estrada - Over & Out

Overproduced and everything that could go wrong is all in this single. So why does it appear here? I am a sucker for anything that samples Bizarre Love Triangle (it's one of my all-time favourite songs!) But all in honesty, I am glad to hear music from Elise Estrada. It's a young and energetic song, and gives an uplift to the classic. I they could only play this in the club, I'll go down hard.
