Top 100 of 2016: 50 to 41

You made me feel as though I was enough...

050 Fifth Harmony ft Fetty Wap - All In My Head (Flex)

Fifth Harmony tackling a tropical summer song, with all of the innuendos. Throw in Fetty Wap, and it's quite the smasher. I especially enjoy the fact that the parts are mixed up - before, it seems predictable which member would sing what part of the song. Very laid back, with a video that fits well with the whole theme. Not the best Fifth Harmony track, but definitely a fun one.

049 DNCE - Toothbrush

From one chilled vibe to another, this song has suggestive themes that are also subtle. What seems to be a dainty idea turns out to be more of a fun one in this song. "Cake By The Ocean" was just the beginning, and I am glad to see Joe Jonas take a new path of this Pop-Rock journey. From high-pitched vocals to grooving guitars, this song can put anyone into the mood.

048 Sia ft Sean Paul - Cheap Thrills

I tend to be picky about Sia and her song releases. Wasn't a big fan of "Chandelier," so I was doubtful whether I would like her other material. In comes this song, teaming up with Sean Paul to create such a unique sound that will get stuck in your head. From the bops in the background to the minuscule screams of "but I love cheap thrills," everything in this song becomes highly amusing. Who knew that it took children for me to like a Sia track.

047 Nick Jonas ft Tove Lo - Close

Another Jonas brother on the chart, and it's focusing on Nick. Wanting to mature his sound, Jonas collaborated with Tove Lo to bring a song about wanting someone so badly, there should be no excuses. Add in that lure of an unknown paradise, the curiosity undertones shine out before getting too serious. Hope to hear more hits from Nick Jonas, he can definitely get real deep into this new genre.

046 Meghan Trainor - No

The song that reminds you of the early 2000s - I think that's what Trainor was trying to aim for in this song. There is no denying that the single is catchy, and has a similar vibe to Britney Spears' "Overprotected," which may be why I enjoy the song so much. Whether this song will bring out a more Poppy Meghan Trainor or not, we will always have this song about showing no interest; and in a very entertaining way as well.

045 James Arthur - Say You Won’t Let Go

A latecomer with an incredible result. Not sure when radio started picking up this song, but I am glad that they did - because it's the sweetest thing. Up in the alley of wedding song material, this song is all about being with that person for the rest of their lives, even when they're ghosts. Simply said with the right execution, can't wait to hear other ways of saying "I love you." It's all of the awwws, all in one song.

044 Niall Horan - This Town

Of all the One Direction members, I did not expect to hear from Niall Horan. I am pleasantly surprised to hear Horan's style, as it does not at all resemble his days in the group. It's a sweet song, reminiscing about the old days and how it use to be. Not knowing this side of Niall, I cannot wait to hear what else he's got coming - maybe I will even listen to the album if the content is like this song.

043 Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons w/ Logic & Ty Dolla $ign ft X Ambassadors - Sucker For Pain

The biggest collaboration from 2016, and it did not disappoint (the movie however, is a different story). Featuring four rappers and two bands, the theme for "Suicide Squad" brings out a morbid song, addicted to the torture, only to seek for more. Oddly enough, I find this song to be relaxing, especially the verses. It may sound lazy at times, but I found the song needed to be longer, especially X Ambassador's part. If there were a sequel for the song, I hope that it only gets bigger.

042 Rihanna - Love On The Brain

Truly an outstanding artist, Rihanna has proven that she can ace any genre she tackles. I do believe that the artist really shines in her ballads, such as thing one. From the production to the screeches, it's like she's gasping for air due to her infatuation. When a craving becomes stronger than before, it must sound like this. Is it pain, or pleasure? Either way, it has a good soundtrack.

041 Grandtheft & Delaney Jane - Easy Go

That random song played on the radio, and it eventually gets stuck in your head. Despite the misleading title, the song is far one from it! That toy trinket sounds adds a nice touch to Delaney Jane's vocals, adding a whimsical twist to a potentially generic-sounding song. But what makes this song stand out would be the collision of guitars and EDM - it is the perfect balance. Good job radio, keep exposing more new material, and I'll be yours forever.
