Top 100 of 2017: 90 to 81

Sunlight got into the bone, bone, bone, start the healing...

090 Selena Gomez - Bad Liar

The new era of Selena Gomez, and I am not sure what to make from this song. Whisper-singing has got me in all types of moods, but this song took me some time to warm up. Not the best single, but still exciting to see what will come of this Selena Gomez.

089 Katy Perry ft Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish

Katy Perry had one significant year, the least to say. From the album "Witness" comes a series of songs all over the place. In this single, it's all about claiming a winner. The tune is a sample from the sounds like 90s Trance music, with the highlight being Nicki Minaj's bit. All in all, a decent track.

088 Little Mix - Touch (I Really Love You Mash-Up)

I've said it once, I'll say it again: North America needs to pay more attention to British acts. Little Mix continues their whirl of hit singles with this little love song - but the original was definitely lacking the energy. A mash-up, however, brought the song onto another level. Make sure to check this mix, it's the oomph much needed.

087 Jack Johnson - Sunsets For Somebody Else

Hello, old friend! You have been much missed. In true Jack Johnson style, the song brings out that hum-worthy guitar-plucking tune. Indulge with the relaxation, and allow Johnson to swing you away into a wonderful slumber.

086 Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill

Story time from Uncle Ed. Following a pack of friends with different outcomes, the song is an adventure. Conquering soft and hard peaks that each person goes through, Ed delivers a stellar performance on this personal song.

085 Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me

If any one had a fantastic year, it would have been Demi Lovato. Featured in many singles, the artist managed to create an entire album (much better!) While I have been meaning to listen to the album, this song is bringing out all of the shotguns: choirs, vocal ability, and the heartbreak. More songs like this one, it turned out well.

084 Chance the Rapper ft Jay Electronica & My Cousin Nicole - How Great

Out of the pages of a choir book, this song provided the base. All in all, the voices were great compliments to each other, creating an environment with a home feel. Bless the soul of Chance, putting his two loves into one song.

083 Rudimental ft James Arthur - Sun Comes Up

No countdown is complete without Rudimental, one of my personal favourite bands. From the Tropical feel, the message is rather sad - it talks about missing some one who is not good for them. But with time, the feeling will come and disappear (like Monday). Nothing like a collaboration to end the year, and it's super catchy.

082 The Weeknd - Rockin’

More of a minor track, if you will. With various singles released, this one didn't get much attention. And like the other singles, this one has more of a Dance vibe than his previous efforts. The instrumental can get in the way, but that futuristic screech is definitely a plus for me.

081 Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?

"Reputation" came, and is here to stay. Coming off the second single, the song brings the revival of T-Swizzle, and it's rather genuine. While the song became big, I find it to be on the lazy side, and I know that Taylor can create better songs than this track. But thank you for the futuristic video, it's dedicated to anime fans alike!
